EstateGuru: Loan Portfolio Overview May 2020

In May 2020, investors funded €4,7M worth of loans. Investment levels are recovering after the economic reopening process and interest rates are decreasing.

With the economy recovering, after reopening, EstateGuru presented a positive trend on their financial performance in May. The recent news of the success in the fundraising process through the Seedrs equity campaign also show the trust of investors in the EstateGuru project and their willingness to support the platform growth.

During May 2020, EstateGuru investors financed €4,7M worth of loans.

During the month, EstateGuru borrowers paid back €3,9M worth of loan principals and the rate of loans repaid (fully repaid) in May 2020 was 11,6%. The track record of EstateGuru remains impressive with a total amount of €15,5M in investors earning since 2014.

Volume of Defaulted Loans

The amount of defaulted loans decreased from €5,6M to €5,5M. EstateGuru was able to recover 1 defaulted loan and expect the same will happen during June. The platform objective is to keep the default rate below 10% and a steady recovery process of the defaulted loans.

Market Recovery Perspectives

It is already possible to see a positive trend in the investment market. The demand for new loans increased and the funds available to lend also increased. The result is lower interest rates, when compared to previous months, and an indication that the bottom of the crisis has been passed and real estate market sentiment is improving.
